HI 00901.265 Processing Exceptions - FO Action - Procedure
If the exception can be corrected and retransmitted,do so immediately. Otherwise, refer the exception to the person who prepared the original input.
The following table lists the exceptions, describes the situations which caused them, and provides instructions for handling them.
|AN NIF ||No record located for SSN transmitted (AN transmitted is incorrect). ||Obtain correct AN from previously received MBR reply and retransmit. |
|BIC NIF ||BIC transmitted with AN data did not match a BIC on the MBR (Either the BIC or the AN transmitted is incorrect). ||Obtain correct AN and BIC from previously received MBR reply and retransmit. |
The BN field on the SSA-3709 did not contain the exact name in the BENEFIT portion of the MBR, or,
The BENEFIT name was changed after the MBR reply was received and before the input was made.
Check the name in the BENEFIT line of the MBR reply attached to the exception.
If it is now correct,no further action is necessary.
If it is not correct,retransmit using the exact name as shown in the BENEFIT line of the MBR. An initial should be shown where the MBR BENEFIT line shows an initial.
