GN 01747.225 Requests for Status of Application for Danish Benefits
A. Automatic status notice for an application for Danish benefits
When the Division of International Operations (DIO) forwards claims material (such as information about a Danish claim, certified copies of evidence, or a copy of the worker’s U.S. coverage record ) to Denmark, Benefit Earnings Technician (BET) electronically stores the claims material in the Paperless Processing Center (PPC) system in DIO before forwarding the claim to the Danish agency. The system automatically generates a notice that the BET sends to the applicant. This notice informs the applicant that DIO forwarded the claims material to Denmark.
B. Applicant requests status of a Danish claim
If an applicant contacts the Social Security Administration (SSA) for status of his or her claim for Danish benefits and states that he or she has not received notification that DIO forwarded the claim to the Danish agency, check the PPC system. NOTE: Field offices are able to check the PPC system through the Paperless ROQS (Read Only Query System), accessible via iMain.
1. PPC does not show that DIO forwarded the claim to Denmark
If PPC does not show that DIO forwarded the claim to Denmark, advise the applicant to write directly to DIO at the following address:
