This is a reminder with regard to the proper procedure for entering the remand date in Appeals Council and Federal District Court remands (i.e., hearing type 30s and 40s) into CPMS. The correct calculation of overall processing time depends on accurately entering the date of the remand order in the appropriate CPMS fields. The request for hearing date field should contain the original hearing request date. The remand date field should contain the remand order date. Please do not enter the hearing request date in the remand field. We want to ensure this is being done properly so that our overall processing time is not erroneously inflated.
Direct all program-related and technical questions to your RO support staff. RO support staff may refer questions or unresolved issues to their Headquarters’ contacts in my office.
