IMPORTANT: The Remittance ID will change for every RECOOP notice sent. Therefore, if individuals have more than one overpayment, each RECOOP notice received will have a different Remittance ID. Individuals will need to use the Remittance ID from the most recent notice for the overpayment they intend to repay. However, for recurring payments on the same trust fund, individuals do not need to update a remittance ID each month. If the individual establishes a recurring payment through their financial institution, they do not need to update the remittance ID in order for our systems to credit the remittance correctly.
