Background

This is a Quick Action Transmittal. These revisions do not change or introduce new policy or procedure.

On July 18, 2020, the enhanced Leads and Appointment System (eLAS) will be replacing the 800# Appointment and Referral System. Updating system name displayed in POMS from "800 Number System" to "enhanced Leads and Appointment System (eLAS).

Overview

This subchapter contains all the paragraphs used to produce Medicare Part D subsidy notices organized by universal text identifier (UTI).

The UTI’s are divided into four categories, depending on which notice system is producing them. The four categories are:

    Medicare Appeals Processing System (MAPS) – Automated Notices

  2. 2. 

    Medicare Appeals Processing System (MAPS) – Notices Generated to Local Printer

  3. 3. 

    Distributed Online Correspondence System (DPS)

  4. 4. 

    Enhanced Leads and Appointment System (eLAS).
