Background

Disability Policy revised the field office instructions for Inquiries from Public Officials. We introduce new language to ensure consistency between the field office and the workload support unit when responding to inquiries from public officials.

Summary of Changes

We add instruction to follow the same timelines as the Disability Determination Services when responding to inquiries from public officials.

Inquiries from all Public Officials require that the case be handled on a priority basis. The field office and workload support unit should adhere to the same final response due dates for public inquiries as instructed by disability determination services.
