RM 03809.005 Scouting Non-Claims Requests Received From the Field Office

A.
Perform all scouting requested in accordance with the established searching and reference
practices, and the special instructions contained in this subchapter.

Make all necessary corrections in accordance with the applicable procedures in this
chapter.

C.
Upon receipt of the OEO feedback request the technician must take the following actions:

1.
The technician must check 2.8 remarks to see the referral reason to the Division of
Earnings and Business Services (DEBS).“.”

2.
The technician must check the Master File Earnings Query (MEF) to determine if an
adjustment has taken place.

3.
The technician will make any necessary adjustments and annotate the "Remarks" screen
in 2.8 with the status on the pending action.

4.
Technician will release the case in the Earnings Case Management System (ECMS).
