GN 01703.700 Overview of the Totalization Data Collection Program (TDCP) - Background
In June 1982, the Totalization Data Collection Program (TDCP) became operational. The TDCP has been designed to provide information on the
totalization claims process. TDCP is used to measure and evaluate the impact of DIO's
totalization responsibilities. TDCP is the only source of management information data
for totalization.
The TDCP provides several pieces of useful information. It measures the elapsed time
from the filing of an application to the clearance of that application. It also collects
data on other major workloads; i.e., assistance requests, as well as providing valuable
statistics on the amount, types, and geographic distributions of workloads by agreements.
In 2010, TDCP was enhanced to automatically generate e-SSA-2960s that are unique to
each of the Totalization countries upon completion of the e-SSA 4962 via TDCP and
the User's request.
