This situation can be identified by the presence of overlapping dates for different
periods of Italian coverage, as shown in example 1. It could also happen that one
of the coinciding periods is wholly within the other period, as shown in example 2.
In any case where there are coinciding periods of Italian coverage, each period must
be credited to the extent possible.
Example 1:

Periods: |
1. 03/15/62 - 07/21/63 |

2. 06/05/63 - 10/15/63 |

The number of Italian QC's for period 1 is equivalent to 73 weeks = 5 QC's +8 weeks = 6 QC's;
13 weeks
for period 2, it is equivalent to 16 weeks = 1 QC's +3 weeks = 2 QC's.

1963 F1 F1 F2 N
(F2)
Since Italian coverage overlaps in the second quarter of 1963, only one Italian QC
is credited for that quarter.

The number of Italian QC's for period 1 is equivalent to 21 weeks = 1 QC +8 weeks = 2 QC's;
13 weeks
for period 2, it is equivalent to 18 weeks = 1 QC +5 weeks = 2 QC's.

is credited for that quarter.
