GN 01748.315 Danish Central Personal Registration “CPR” Number

A. Process

The Danish Central Personal Registration (CPR) number in Denmark is considered an identification number consisting of 10 numerical digits. The 10 digit breakdown is as follows:

  • First six numbers consist of date and year of birth;

    •  

      EX: 041566-xxxx

  • Last 4 digits are determined by the Danish government’s Central Personnel Registration (CPR) number which each person must have and is unique to that person only.

If the applicant is from the US and does not have a CPR number, the National Social Security Agency (NSSA) in Denmark needs the following information:

  • Name

  • Date of Birth

  • Place of Birth

  • Most recent address and town/village of residence in Denmark
