GN 02315.062 Mississippi — Small Estates

Mississippi has a small estates statute, but the statute is not necessary for SSA to determine who would be the legal representative of such an estate because SSA would pay any debt owed to a decedent to individuals with higher priority than the estate. See Miss. Code Ann. § 91-7-322(1) (2014).
