HI 01001.015 Months for Which Premiums Are Due

A premium is due for each month of Supplementary Medical Insurance (SMI) coverage beginning with the first month of coverage and continuing through the month of death or, if earlier, the month in which coverage terminates (including each month of coverage in the grace period). (See HI 01001.090.) A premium is due for the month of death, if SMI coverage is still in effect, even if the enrollee dies on the first day of the month.
