A. Procedure - Residents of Foreign Countries

Requests handled under the following instructions include inquiries that contain technical question(s) concerning eligibility for benefits or employment as affected by residency in a foreign country.

Forward requests of this nature to DIO under cover of Form SSA-2523. Check box B.5.

NOTE: American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands are possessions of the United States.

B. Procedure - Earnings Statement Requested

Earnings statement is also requested; take the following actions:

    Enter “DIO” in red on top of the request.

  • •

    Place the “RT” or “SR” code in the special indicator block and sort for data entry.
