RM 03258.011 Requesting MBR Printouts (4256)

In some instances, it may be necessary to obtain additional information, through an MBR Printout, about a plan participant for whom an SSA-L99-C1 has been sent as the result of a claim.

Example:

An individual questions her pension information being addressed to her child. A review of the MBR Printout may reveal that she is a widow whose benefits have been terminated and subsequently her address has been dropped from SSA records. However, the child is receiving student benefits and his or her address is still on SSA records. Since no address is available for the widow, her pension information would be sent to the address on our records for the child. The widow can then be furnished an appropriate explanation. Obtain MBR Printouts in accordance with established procedure.
