When requesting a record(s), show the name of the head of the household and his “honseki” (legal residence) at the time of the event. In large cities, there are several different
offices. Show the exact address or vicinity of the event so that the request can be
routed to the correct office by the one which receives it.
Municipal, town or village office of the locality where the head of the family had
