Where overpayments occur because of duplicate payments by SSA and other Federal agencies
because of wage credits granted under Section 217(a), (e) or (h) of the act, proceed
as follows:

Take usual adjustment action in accordance with GN
02210.006.

If adjustment is not available, secure refund in full or by installment in accordance
with GN 02210.180.

If repayment arrangements cannot be made within 60 days following refund request and
waiver is not applicable, send the case to the ARC, Programs for negotiation with
the other federal agency.
