DI 28030.050 Review of Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) Hearing Record in Continuing Disability Reviews
      (CDRs)

In CDR cases where an ALJ made the comparison point decision (CPD), the disability
examiner (DE) may need to review the evidence considered in the ALJ decision with
the current evidence in order to assess medical improvement (MI) and exceptions to
MI. DEs may also wish to review the hearing record in cases where the basis for the
ALJ decision is not readily apparent. The DE should annotate the file to reflect any
pertinent finding from the hearing record not already documented in the file (e.g.,
vocational expert's opinion at the hearing, etc.).
