DI 43505.035 Closed Period/Freeze Determination Where Disability Ceased More than 14 Months Before Application

Occasionally claims may be received in INTPSC where the claimant's disability ceased more than 14 months before the application was filed. It may be necessary to determine if the late filing was the result of a mental or physical impairment. (See DI 40105.025 for SSA-831-U5 completion instructions.)
