GN 01070.435 Documenting The Request And Reply (FO)
If response is by telephone, RPOC, Report of Contact page, E-Mail or Fax, do not document
unless required by local management. Otherwise, retain a copy of the interim documentation (paper, PCACS Request For Assistance) long
enough to ensure that the requesting office received the reply (30 days), then destroy
the copy. NOTE: Local management may require temporary documentation as a means of managing employee
workloads. However, documentation will not be placed in the claims folder.
