The Netherlands does not pay life social security benefits directly to family members
of old-age or disability pensioners. (The old-age Supplement referred to in GN 01725.020.B is paid to the insured person.) Therefore, survivors should be advised to file
an application if they think they can qualify for Dutch survivors benefits.
