1. a. 

   The wage earner (WE) was not insured under the 1-for-2 rule using the normal method of crediting wage QCs as described in RS 00301.310, and

2. b. 

   the number holder (NH) attained age 62 (if a woman) or age 65 (if a man) before 07/01/1957 or died in the period 01/01/1955 through 06/30/1957 (for a lump sum death payment to be payable under this section, the NH must have attained age 62 or 65, whichever applies, before 07/01/1957 and died after 06/30/1957); and

3. c. 

   they would meet the insured status requirement in A above if in the first year in which they had any creditable earnings in covered employment, their QCs were determined on the basis of the period during which the wages were earned rather than on the basis of the period during which they were paid; and

4. d. 

   the claimant furnishes proof of wages earned in the first year.

Any wages reallocated based on wages earned cannot then be used to establish a QC based on wages paid for the same year or any subsequent year. For computation purposes, do not allocate wages to period earned.

If insured status is established under this provision, monthly benefits may be payable for months after 06/1957 based on an application filed after 04/30/1960 and before 05/01/1961; lump-sum death applications filed in the same period are not subject to the usual 2-years-after-death filing limitation. The normal retroactive period applies to all claims.
