A. Background of the publication of SSR 19-4p

SSA published SSR 19-4p, "Evaluating Cases Involving Primary Headache Disorders" on August 26, 2019. This Social Security Ruling (SSR), which took effect upon publication, provides guidance for assessing primary headache disorders under the neurological disorder listings and determining how this impairment may affect the residual functional capacity.
