DI 39503.210 Role of the DDS Administrator
The DDS administrator's function in this process is to estimate the agency's workpower
and funding requirements and to submit the agency budget request accurately and timely.
In many States, it may require advance scheduling by the DDS administrator to ensure
that input or approval needed from parent agencies or other State fiscal offices is
made in sufficient time to allow a timely submission to the regional office. The request
for workpower must be based on a detailed analysis of agency needs as must the request
for all other operating costs. To supplement the administrator's personal knowledge
of the agency's operation, SSA will furnish projected workloads, items for emphasis,
and other information to assist the DDS administrator in the formulation of the agency's
budget.
