DI 43510.045 DDS Requests for CE from a Foreign Source

Occasionally situations will arise where the claimant is visiting a foreign country and the DDS will retain jurisdiction for processing of the claim. Request the CE by means of an SSA-423-U6 or SSA-5526-U3 as appropriate. When the CE is received, return the evidence to the DDS for a determination. See DI 43520.001 for completion of the SSA-423-U6/SSA-5526-U3.
