DI 80550.001 Case Processing and Management System - Overview
The Office of Hearings Operations (OHO) Case Processing and Management System (CPMS)
is a system which allows most OHO components to control and process hearing cases
and to produce management information. OHO completed CPMS implementation in August
2004. It is one of the five major components of the electronic disability (eDIB) effort.
CPMS replaces the Hearing Office Tracking System (HOTS) for nearly all cases. The
exception is requests for hearing under Title XVIII (Medicare). Currently, CPMS provides
for tracking and processing both paper and electronic cases.
CPMS is a unified, user-friendly, web-based system that can be accessed by both HO
staff and case processing staff throughout the Social Security Administration, including
DDS. Users other than HO staff have limited, query or read only access. Access CPMS
here.
