DI 81010.065 Unlocking Electronic Disability Collect System (EDCS) Cases
Cases in EDCS are locked and cannot be accessed for update by another employee when
a:

Case is opened for update;

•
Case is exited incorrectly; or
-
NOTE: If a case is locked, the name of the user currently accessing the case is listed
in a dialogue box.
A locked case can only be unlocked by:

The person who locked it; or
-
To unlock a case in EDCS:

•
Select the case from the Case Disability Selection page; and
-
•
Select the “Unlock” button on the bottom of the page.
Once the case is successfully unlocked, it is available to other users for update.
