Reject jurisdiction of any EFI Download record if the paper related to that case is
not received within the preset number of days established for your office by the regional
office. When rejecting jurisdiction, indicate that the claim was rejected because
no paper was received within the preset number of days. This ensures the case processing
system uses the correct download during the case receipt process.
When the DDS rejects jurisdiction of the EFI Download it creates an alert on the Field
Office (FO) EDCS Action Page. The FO is responsible for determining the proper jurisdiction
and status of the case after DDS rejects jurisdiction.
