SI 01320.700 Monthly Deeming Worksheet (SSA-8015/8017)

A. Procedure

1. When to Use

Use the appropriate deeming worksheet to compute deemed income from a parent or spouse. You can use these worksheets instead of the on-line deeming computations.

2. Which Form to Use

IF CLAIMANT IS . . . AND . . . THEN USE FORM
An eligible child living with parent(s) SSA-8017 (or SSA-8016 for periods prior to November 1, 1992)
An eligible individual living with a spouse No optional State supplement (OSS) is involved SSA-8015
An eligible individual living with a spouse OSS is involved* SSA-3123

*EXCEPTION: For months prior to October 1988, use form SSA-8015 and follow the instructions at SI 01320.710 B. (For residents of California and Massachusetts for months prior to October 1988, see regional POMS instructions.)

3. Saving Deeming Worksheets

Once you have computed deemed income, post that income to the system. You do not need to retain the worksheets in the claims file.

If the individual is paid by force payment or one-time payment, file the worksheets in the claims folder to show the payment computation.
