DI 39542.030 DA Review and Clearinghouse - Background

Disability Adjudication (DA) review will address:

• •

  the concept of contracting out a particular DDS function;

• •

  the basic plan for getting the work accomplished;

• •

  whether or not the proposed contract is consistent with Federal procurement guidelines.

NOTE: The review will not ordinarily address the State's contracting process.

SSA will maintain a clearinghouse library containing:

• •

  reports of State contracts; and

• •

  contract proposals which have been disapproved.

NOTE: This clearinghouse library will service as a resource to:

• •

  help States in proposing similar contracts; and

• •

  facilitate DA review and approval of State contracts.
