GN 00302.410 When a Written DB Determination is Not Required

When not required

A written DB determination is not required when the DB is established based on:

  • A public or religious record established before age 5 which agrees with the claimant's allegation, regardless of other discrepancies which may exist

    •

NOTE: If the allegation disagrees with such a record or the record is not being used to establish the DB, see GN 00302.440.

  • An SSA record showing an established DB (see GN 00302.010).

  • Automatically convincing evidence guides in GN 00302.110ff.

  • A combination of documents (see GN 00302.125).

  • Two documents, both of which are at least 30 years old (see GN 00302.125)

  • Discrepant documents but the discrepancy is not material (see GN 00302.240).

  • Exceptions to material discrepancy development (see GN00302.180).
