GN 01050.105 Transfer from the International Program Service Center

When all beneficiaries on a particular SSN maintained in INTPSC return to the United States, the appropriate action will be taken against all benefits on the record and the folder will be transferred to the appropriate servicing program service center. If any diary or listing slips have been prepared, they must be cancelled and a new set of diaries or listing slips prepared to be sent to the receiving office. The receiving office will then maintain all controls of the due diaries and listings.

When a beneficiary has a foreign residence and/or address, and such beneficiary is terminated, an award of survivors benefits or an amended award for the remaining beneficiaries may be necessary. If so, appropriate procedure should be followed. If none of the survivors or remaining beneficiaries have a foreign residence and/or mailing address, the Account Jurisdiction Code (AJC) on the SSA-2795 should be completed and forwarded to the servicing program service center after taking the appropriate action. If any diary or listing slips have been prepared, they must be cancelled and a new set of diaries or listing slips prepared. The benefit authorizer will use Form SSA-665 to transfer the folder after review.

In the situations described in the two preceding paragraphs, if the claims folder is being forwarded to a program service center other than the one which would normally service the account, a cross-reference record will be prepared by INTPSC and forwarded to the office that would normally service the account so that they may update their Case Control System.
