A Totalization LSDP may be paid only if the number holder (NH) died on or after the effective date of the Totalization agreement under which insured status is established.

When entitlement to a LSDP is established based on combined U.S. and foreign coverage, the Totalization LSDP amount is three times the pro rata primary insurance amount (PIA) or $255, whichever is less.
