GN 01725.115 Definition of Dutch Territory

A. Introduction

As explained in GN 01725.140 and GN 01725.145, certain provisions of the agreement apply only to person who reside in the territory of the Netherlands.

B. Policy

For purposes of the agreement, the “territory of the Netherlands” means Dutch territory on the continent of Europe. Although the Netherlands Antilles are a part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the islands have a separate Social Security system which is not covered by the agreement.
