GN 03104.360 Office of Appellate Operations (OAO) Requests Folder — Title II or XVI

The Appeals Council (AC) will send an administrative message requesting the folder to the office with jurisdiction. Each administrative message will contain the SSN and the filing date of the HA-520-U5 to the field office or PC branch handling reconsiderations. If the folder is temporarily unavailable, the FO/PC sends a status message back to the AC advising of the date it will be sent.

EXCEPTION: AC will send messages to ODO to the attention of the Module Files Assistant - Roadrunner Service.

If AC does not receive the folder or a status report within 15 days, it will follow-up with a second request message. If AC does not receive the folder within 10 days from the second request, it will notify the Office of the Regional Commissioner.

When transferring the folder to OAO, the FO will show folder movement on the DWO1 (MCS) or MDW (non-MCS) after effectuation in favorable decisions.

PCs will use PCACS to show folder movement.
