RS 01301.205 One-Half Support — Spouse or Surviving Spouse Cases - Spouses Not Living Together

Procedure

If the spouses were not living together during the period in question, ascertain the claimant spouse's individual income exclusive of the Number Holder's (NH) contributions. If the amount contributed by the NH equals or exceeds the claimant spouse's individual income, they are receiving one-half support from the NH.

CAUTION: Consider the entire support picture. See RS 01301.186 when the claimant alleges own income is not used for own support.
