RS 01310.050 Beneficiary in Suspense Status Reports Having a Child in Care -Procedure

When a beneficiary reports that child in care status has resumed, develop as appropriate using the guidelines in this subchapter before returning the beneficiary to payment status. If the child is the same child whose leaving the beneficiary's care caused suspension of benefits, do not accept, without verification, the beneficiary's statement that the beneficiary and the child have resumed living together.

Benefits may be reinstated the month the claimant and child resume living together provided they live together one full day; i.e., a 24 hour day, of that month.
