RS 01601.001 Scope of SSA and RRB

This subchapter contains general information on the Railroad Retirement Act (RR Act) and the Railroad Retirement Board (RRB). It also explains the relationship and coordination required between SSA and RRB. (See RS 01602.000 ff. and RS 01603.000 ff.)

The information contained here on the RR Act is a general guide. Only RRB has the authority to make claims or benefit decisions and determinations under the RR Act.
