The claimant may request withdrawal of a disability application after medical development
has been initiated by the FDE. In cases where the FDE has initiated medical development,
and subsequently received a request for withdrawal of the claim, the FDE will resolve
the withdrawal issues. (See DI 40105.005 for completion of the SSA-831-U5.)
