The notice language for interim benefits is on the Document Processing System (DPS).

Send a manual notice to the claimant (or the representative payee) and any attorney or nonattorney representative when:

  You start interim benefits. This is the notice “SSI Important Information”;

• •

  You determine that interim benefits are not payable. This is the notice “SSI Important Information”;

• •

  A change occurs that increases the amount of the interim benefits. This is the “Notice of Change in Payment”; or

• •

  A change occurs that will decrease or stop interim benefits. This is the “Notice of Planned Action”.
