HI 00601.460 Specific Exclusions from Coverage as Home Health Services

In addition to the general exclusions from coverage under health insurance listed in HI 00620.000 ff., the following are also specifically excluded from coverage as home health services:

1. A. 

   Services or items which would not be paid for if provided to an inpatient of a hospital, such as private duty nursing service, or items of comfort which are necessary for treatment, e.g., television.

2. B. 

   Meals-on-Wheels or similar food arrangements.

3. C. 

   Domestic or housekeeping services which are unrelated to patient care.

4. D. 

   Transportation services, e.g., from place of residence to a facility to receive home health services on an outpatient basis.
