NL 00702.122 Adding a Dictated Paragraph to an Existing Document — Procedure
Place the document in EDIT mode. (See NL 00702.105 for information concerning document selection.) Once in EDIT mode determine the position
between models for the dictated text and on the line above where the dictated text
is to be added enter the line command “A” in the line edit margin and press ENTER. Once the new line appears enter #AAA031
at the left margin and press ENTER. Answer “Y” on the screen and press ENTER. This places you in stream mode for entering dictated
text and also formats the dictated text.
On the line following the end of the dictated text and between each of the dictated
paragraphs add a blank line. Press the NEW LINE key, then press the SPACE BAR twice.
This will create a blank line.
When all of the dictated text has been entered and a blank line has been inserted,
press ENTER twice to return to the edit screen. The dictated text will now appear
on the screen followed by the blank line.
Once dictated text has been entered into M/TEXT, it can no longer be manipulated via
the AAA031 screen. Any modifications to the text must be done on the document edit
screen. (See NL 00702.124 and NL 00702.125 for adding and deleting text within text.)
(See NL 00702.150 for information on adding enclosures to dictated text.)
