We are writing to tell you about a change in (1) Social Security benefit amount. What You Can Do
We cannot use this information to change (13) Social Security benefits until we give you time to check it. Certain information

(16) eligible for a government pension before December 1982, even if (17) did not receive any payments before December 1982.

(18) eligible for a government pension before July 1983 AND (19) receiving one-half of (20) financial support from (21) at the time (22) retired, became disabled or died.

(23) paying Social Security (FICA) taxes on (24) federal salary before (25) retired.
If We Do Not Hear From You
If we do not hear from you within 30 days from the date of this letter, we will assume
the information in this letter is correct and use it to reduce (26) Social Security benefits.
We will send another letter at that time. It will explain the change in the benefits,
the amount of any overpayment, and how to appeal our decision.
