VB 02501.055 Appeals - Payment for Certain Travel Expenses

Policy

There is no provision in the law to reimburse claimants or their representatives for travel expenses to attend a hearing on title VIII issues. However, travel expenses within the United States may be payable if the hearing involves a determination as to the claimant's eligibility to SSI payments under title XVI. (See VB 02503.000 ff., SI 04030.010C.7. and GN 03101.140.)
