HA 01460.040 Appeals Council Remand Orders — Releasing

A. Standard Language Order Not Requiring Appeals Council Review
The analyst will:
•
Prepare the standard language remand order;
•
Use the automated signature of the Division Chief Administrative
Appeals Judge;
•
Obtain a current earnings record;
•
Input appropriate entries, including an analysis, in the Appeals
Review Processing System (ARPS);
•
Check the remand order for accuracy;
•
Release the standard remand order and ensure the remand order
was sent and added to the claim(s) file; and
B. Standard and Special Language Orders Requiring Appeals Council Review
1.
The analyst will:
•
Prepare the order and any additional documents;
•
Make appropriate entries in ARPS, including entering a
case analysis; and
•
Route the remand to an administrative appeals judge for review
on behalf of the Appeals Council (AC).
2.
After the AC approves the remand, the court legal assistant will release the AC remand order with the signature of the approving administrative appeals judge.
