If a spouse under FRA no longer has a child in care, the PC will:

1. a. 

   Suspend benefits effective with the first full month that the spouse does not have an entitled child of the number holder in their care (see SM 03005.065), and

2. b. 

   Notify the spouse that they are subject to deductions while under FRA unless reduced benefits are elected (see RS 00202.055).

Send an additional notice in advance of the one mentioned in RS 00202.090A.1.b. if spouse's benefits are to be suspended because the youngest child is attaining age 16 and the spouse is the payee.
