The following medical services may be contracted:
Consultative Examinations
Radiological Examinations
Laboratory Testing
Diagnostic Procedures
Psychological Testing
Psychiatric Evaluation
NOTE: See DI 39542.005 for Federal requirements of all contractors involving DDS functions.
The Contract will:
Include provisions that define a sound and complete procurement contract.
Identify the parties covered in the contract as well as the claimant population to be examined.
Specify the scope of work to be performed.
Specify procedures and criteria for terminating the contract, including a requirement that the contractor promptly return all information gathered in the process of the contract.
Provide that the contractor maintains an appropriate record system for the services provided.
Provide that the contractor safeguards information provided by the DDS and the claimants.
Specify what functions may be subcontracted and the responsibilities of the subcontractor.
