DI 39563.001 DDS Workload Management--General
Good workload management will enable the State agency to meet the regulatory standards
for performance accuracy and processing time. Management techniques which achieve
these ends constitute good workload management.
Ideally, workload management involves many (if not all) of the Chapter 395 subchapters,
particularly budgeting, organization, quality assurance, personnel, space, equipment,
audits and administrative reviews, and technical and management assistance. These
areas all combine for a good approach to workload management and they should be understood
and applied both independently and collectively.
This subchapter examines the standards and guidelines for managing the disability
claims workload within the State agency with a view toward accurate, timely and cost-effective
decisions.
