GN 04020.060 Unrestricted Reopening - Military Service Wage Credits — Policy Principle
A final determination or decision which denies or grants gratuitous military service
wage credits may be reopened at any time where:
Gratuitous wage credits for WW II or post-WW II military service were denied because
another Federal agency (other than VA) had erroneously certified that it had awarded
benefits based on such service; or
Gratuitous military wage credits were granted and another Federal agency (other than
VA) thereafter certified it had awarded a benefit either in the past or currently
based on the period of service for which such wage credits were granted.
This section does not apply to deemed military wages for months after 1956.
