A. The Primary Title Bar

The Primary Title Bar consists of:

  • Claimant’s name and Social Security Number (SSN);

  • Claim Type(s);

  • Alleged Onset Date (AOD);

  • Electronic Disability Collect System (EDCS) Folder Number;

  • Edit (Lock Case) button; and

  • Links to Folder Search, Print Forms, EDCS, and Help.

B. The Secondary Title Bar

The secondary title bar appears above the eView Tabs and includes:

1. Flags indicator

The “Flags” indicator appears on the far-left of the secondary title bar. Users can view details of flags, edit existing flags, and add new flags to a case by using the “View Details/Edit” link next to the flags indicator. For details on adding flags to a case, see DI 81010.080.

2. Office of Quality Review (OQR) Sample indicator

The OQR Sample indicator remains blank unless OQR selects the case to sample. If the case is selected, eView displays the most recent OQR sample date.

3. Certified Electronic Folder (CEF) indicator

The CEF indicator displays a “Y” if the filing is a CEF. If there is a paper modular disability folder (MDF), there is an “N” for “No”, which means the filing is not a CEF.

4. Continuing Disability Review (CDR) CEF/CPD (Comparison Point Decision) CEF indicator

If the case is an eCDR, the eCDR CEF and CPD CEF indicators appear on the secondary title bar. eView displays the following indicator(s):

a. CDR folders

If the CDR folder is a CEF, eView displays CDR CEF “Y”.

If the CDR folder is paper, eView displays CDR CEF “N”.

b. CPD folders

If the CPD folder is a CEF, eView displays CPD CEF “Y”

If the CPD folder is paper, eView displays CPD CEF “N”

c. Unable to locate CPD folder

If the Field Office is unable to locate the CPD folder, eView displays CPD CEF “UTL”

5. Disability Case Processing System (DCPS) indicator

A “Y” entry indicates the case is being processed using the Disability Case Processing System (DCPS) instead of the Disability Determination Services (DDS) legacy system. An ”N” indicator indicates the case is processed in the DDS legacy system.

6. Quick Disability Determination (QDD) indicator

The QDD indicator appears to the right of the CEF indicator. A “Y” or “N” is present next to the indicator to inform the user whether the case has been identified as a QDD case. Selecting the “QDD” link brings users to the Quick Disability Determination screen. This screen displays:

  • Current and historical QDD status;

  • The date the case was identified as QDD; and

  • The history of any QDD actions taken (including date, type of action taken, office code of the action, and the reason for the action).

7. Compassionate Allowance (CAL) indicator

The CAL indicator (Compassionate Allowance) shows a “Y” or “N” to indicator whether the case has been identified as a CAL case and acts as hyperlinked text to the CAL History page.

The CAL history screen displays the following:

  • Historical data chronologically ordered and including whether CAL was automatically selected or manually added

  • Type of action (Added/Reinstated/Removed)

  • Reason for action

  • Office code for historical actions

  • CAL conditions for the specific case with a link to information about that particular disease or condition

For more information on processing CAL cases, see DI 23022.000 and DI 11005.604.

8. Medical Evidence Regulation (MedEv) indicator

The MedEv indicator displays the current or prior medical evidence regulation. The indicator also links to the Medical Evidence Regulation history screen in eView, which provides the jurisdiction and ability to update the indicator, if necessary.

9. Electronic Claims Analysis Tool (eCAT) indicator

The eCAT indicator appears on the secondary title bar to inform users of eCAT involvement on initial and reconsideration-level cases.

10. High Risk Indicator

The High Risk Indicator quickly identifies, for downstream components, individuals that have a High Risk Alert placed on their record in the Visitor Intake Process (VIP) database. eView does not display a High Risk Alert if an alert is not found or is inactive at the time of the VIP query.

11. eBB indicator

The eBB indicator appears on the secondary title bar and provides a link to the Electronic Bench Book (eBB) application. The link only displays to users associated with a Hearing Office, when the folder contains a Hearing Office level case or higher, and the eView folder does not contain a case is a ‘BC’ or ‘DC’ claim or a CDR.
