However, when the alleged income exceeds the amount of the ineligible child allocation
(i.e., no ineligible child allocation applies for that ineligible child), document
the allegation, but do not verify the income unless the income would be subject to
the student child earned income exclusion.
In both initial claims and posteligibility situations, accept an allegation when any
ineligible child living in the household has no income. In posteligibility situations,
do not redevelop income unless a change is alleged or there is a reason to believe
a change has occurred.
